The theological effect in the science of jurisprudence
(A reading of the criticism of Abu Al-Muzaffar Al-Sama’ani)
The fifth century AH witnessed the mixing of the science of jurisprudence with the science of theology, and the ideas of jurisprudence were charged with introductions from theology.
The book attempts to shed light on the most prominent points of theological fundamentalist appeal that Imam Abu al-Muzaffar al-Sam’ani (d. 489) criticized, while attempting to accurately describe the type of relationship between the two sciences, which ranges between “borrowing or extension,” “participation,” and “influence.” ".
The book also aims to highlight the theological principles that influence every issue researched in the science of principles.
Through three appendices, the issues covered in the principles of jurisprudence were summarized, with an explanation of their verbal implications, the most prominent theological issues that have an impact on the principles, and an index revealing for each issue the type of relationship between it and the verbal material.
